Dear Readers,
You might have seen the Reels going around, where someone says: “I’m so attracted to them! – Don’t worry! Get to know them and it will go away!”
It’s not meant the way it’s said or at least it’s more of a joke. But for some people on the ace spectrum, this is reality. Fraysexual describes people who are more sexually attracted to strangers or people they don’t know well rather than to people they know well.
What are the signs of fraysexuality?
- The most prominent one, would be the fading sexual attraction despite the growing connection and feelings with a partner.
- There is still a desire for emotional and romantic fulfillment even though there’s no sexual attraction.
- New experiences are highly appreciated
- It’s hard to get back the level of sexual attraction that was there in the beginning
What´s the biggest misconception ?
The biggest misconception about fraysexuals might be that they can’t have monogamous relationships. However, that depends on the person and their needs. Some prefer monogamous and some prefer an open relationship, much like everyone else on the ACE spectrum, there are no rules.
Yours, Ace
