Dear Readers,
Some of us feel super comfortable with the label they found for themselves and that’s pretty awesome. But some ACEs are not so sure. Sometimes they feel like they are grey, sometimes they may consider themselves aegosexual, and sometimes fictosexual. And it sounds weird, but probably all of that is true.
Honestly, I sometimes feel like that could be valid for me too. Grey is fitting me, but Aego does as well. So maybe at times I’m more grey and sometimes I’m more aegosexual.
Maybe I haven’t found the right lable yet, but maybe I’m just aceflux.
But what does aceflux mean?
Aceflux refers to people who may experience periods of feeling completely asexual or aromantic, followed by periods of feeling varying degrees of sexual or romantic attraction. These fluctuations can be gradual or sudden. The periods can vary between days, weeks, or years. It’s important to say that the intensity of the sexual attraction can vary from none to demi/grey, but the genders you are attracted to don’t change. Aceflux therefore is the fluctuation on the ace spectrum.
So you can be aceflux and bisexual/homosexual/heterosexual.
Another term that you come across is abroxual when you research aceflux.
Abrosexual is used for individuals who developed different sexual and romantic attractions over time, which includes a gender change. So an Ace can be abrosexual, which would include a varying intensity in sexual attraction as well as a change in the genders to which they are attracted. Abrosexual can also be applied to allosexuals as well.
You never felt any sexual attraction towards anyone, but all of a sudden and very intensely you do? Then you probably experienced something that is called an acespike. Acespikes usually don’t last very long and disappear as suddenly as they came.
Now I’m curious, does anything sound familiar to you?
Yours , Ace
